I am just about three weeks post-op. I am still having a lot of pain and tightness in my abdomen. I still can't sleep in my bed at night, I have to sleep in my recliner. Did anyone else have this? Any suggestions for helping ease the pain quicker?

Hello. I found walking around the house eased some of the pain for me. I just had my surgery on May 8th and just feeling better

Kimberly~ I am sorry that you are still in pain. I think I was sore for about a month, and I slept in the recliner too. My bed was just too high to climb into, the recliner was easier for me. I would agree with the other post, walk more. Walk as much as you can. If the pain doesn't get better, call the doctor. Michelle

I really had such a great deal of pain for a month or so. Staying active helped A LOT!! Also, using a heating pad on my left side (where pain was really bad) gave me some relief. The pain does go away--it just takes time--I promise. I know it's hard. Hang in there!! Blessings, Katrina

I have pains in my arms and legs more then my abdomen. MY arms and legs are more of an issue for me, I can barely lift my arm above my shoulder. I do not know if this is normal or not. I just had surgery on Wednesday so I am only 3 days post op. Let me know if anyone else experienced anything like this.

Hey Kim! I had lap band 3 months ago. I slept in a recliner for over a month! It hurt me to lay flat. =( My Dr said it was pretty normal.
