My Mother's Day Gift - SIZE TEN JEANS!!!
To think back to August, when I couldn't button my size 24 jeans while laying on the bed flat, you can understand why I nearly broke into tears in the Gap fitting room yesterday when I put on a pair of 10's, zipped them up without laying on the floor, and was still able to walk and breathe! I knew the 12s were getting big, but to be in a size 10 for the first time in my life was just overwhelming to me. I really got all choked up. Thank goodness the fitting room attendant was the sensitive type!
The smallest every day size I have ever been is a 12 - unless you count the one size 9 outfit I had for 10 minutes in 1985. I got it from Home Shopping Club, and it was a very stretchy knit. I never wore another size 9/10 in anything else, and only ordered that in a size 9 because I thought I would lose weight and fit into it.
But I am walking on air today, folks! I'm calling to make my trainer appointments for the next two weeks, then off on my cruise to the Mediterranean. I hope I don't over do it on the ship!!
