Dr. Ballantyne

Hello, I have been on and off these boards for years now. Still trying to get my act together and get my surgery done. I started to get rolling last year but several roadblocks got in the way. I live in NNJ and I am trying to find a surgeon closer to where I am who is also covered by my insurance. He is not registered on this site but has anyone had surgery with Dr. Ballantyne out of Hackensack? Kathy

Hi, No I can't says that I have. I did use Dr. Trivedi out of Hackensack. I did like my doctor and he is a part of a group so if there is a problem there is always someone on call! Best of luck! Marla

What insurance do you have?

I have PHCS through my job and I also qualify for Horizon BC/BS through NJ Family Care as my secondary. I am trying to stay as local to home as possible.

I used Dr. Trevedi out of Hackensack, the team of Doctors there are awesome, but I have hear good things about Ballantyne to, his office is right in Hackensack hospital and he's a top Doc that works closely with Dr. Schmidt who is part of the team that I go to. Hi Kathy - I have horizon bcbs and I used the bariatric surgeon group out of Valley Hospital. Dr. Dan Davis was my surgeon and everything went extremely well. I also looked into Dr. Ballantyne, had heard good things about him as well.

Hi Kathy- i had lapband surgery with Dr. Ewing in March. He is in the same group as Drs. Trivedi and Schmidt. I think they are one of the highest rated groups around and Hackensack Hospital is wonderful. Go to a lot of presentations. they have one each month. Good luck.
