Need local support group..

hi...looking for some support groups for info in south jersey.Does anyone know of any? Trying to get all the info I can. Thanks..

hi tina there are 2 free support groups in philly -- one at penn hosp and one at hanneman hosp -- there is also a support group in voorhees at virtua hospital -- and i think there is a support group in pitman Roberta

Where in South Jersey are you? I belong to a group in Pitman that is phenomenal! They meet every other Friday - this week is an off week.

I'm in pittsgrove bout 20 mins from pitman. where do they meet? What time? Is there all types of wls or is it just gastric bypass. I'm interested in lap band. what did you have, and are your having any problems? Thanks ...Tina

Well, tina we have a good group next to west jersey hospital, in voorhees. Lapband is going strong there. Did you have your surgery already? We have two surgical groups here that do it, and when you use them you join "new beginnings" we do have a fee for joining new beginnings, but once the fee is paid, you are in it for life. You have a nurse, nut, therapist , support. I will tell you it was worth it, 100%. Very good information, and support. Now if you have had your lapband done already and just want to come to support, that is free, and meets 3 thursdays a month. So feel free to email me if you have any other questions.
