GREAT CONSIGNMENT SHOP IN SCOTCH PLAINS-HALF PRICE TILL SATURDAY

Just wanted to share that I got 5 designer garments at a consignment shop in Scotch Plains today for less than $25! The store's called LOOK TWICE and it's on the corner of Park Avenue and 2nd Street in Scotch Plains. They are having a half price sale till Saturday! I got a pair of Sigfried Olsen slacks for $5! If you live in the area, it's definitely worth a trip.

Sheri~ A girl after my own heart! I wish I lived closer to you, I'd go shopping with you there! I LOVE thrift shops. I just recently found one near Long Beach Island on Tuesday, on my way to work. It was the Southern Ocean County Hospital thrift shop. I got a pair of Liz Claiborne khaki shorts for $1.00. I got a very pretty mint green "LBI" sweat shirt for $1.00. They had some nice dresses for $3.00 each. I love deals! Last week my friend and I went to the "Grounds for Sculpture" (sculpture gardens) near Princeton, I think it was Mercer County? On the way home we found a thrift shop the size of a grocery store!! It was amazing. Behind the counter they have designer purses, a Louis Vitton for $60.00, it was a $900.00 bag! I think it was called "red, white and blue" thrift shop? It was amazing! I got a pair of Banana Republic jeans for my husband for under $10.00. A GAP jean jacket for me for the same. Charter Club pajamas for me for $3.00! If I am ever in Scotch Plains working I am going to look up "Look Twice".....I love good bargains My next venture is a thrift shop in Deal, that's only about 20 minutes from me and I hear all of their clothes are designer labels Michelle

Thanks for the information will keep it in mind. There is another shop on Rt. 18 called Karen's in one of the Brunswicks (East, North or New) Sells only designer clothing. A bit pricy but if you want only designe clothes this is the place to go. Got some great clothes there but I also got Jones New York and liz blouses (just to name two) for under 4.00 at other shops. LOVE SHOPPING AT THRIFT SHOPS I will be going tomorrow with my daughter We love it get some really good buys! Lauretta

Sheri~ I went to that shop yesterday! It was nice..... but even better was the one in Westfield, just a few miles away. It's called the League of something or other....I found it in the yellow pages. I did get a pair of Via Spiga pumps at LOOK TWICE though, they are so comfortable, I love Via Spiga! They were $10.00. I had to work in N. Bergen at 4:30 yesterday morning and on the way home I had the great idea to find the shop in Scotch Plains, while I was up that way anyway? I found the center of town on my GPS and stopped in a McDonalds and borrowed their phone book. I looked up consignment shops and found a few there! I went to 3, but one turned out to be just furniture/antiques, no clothes. The League was amazing! The thrift shop was OK, BUT the consignment shop UPSTAIRS was amazing! I got a Talbots summer dress, for $18.00, size 8! It is by far the prettiest dress I have ever owned, not to mention the smallest! It has an open back, floral design, pastel colors. I got another summer dress, very bright, Adrienne Vittadini ( I have a few of his bags/purses) for $14.00 and that is amazing too!!! I had the best time in there. I am going to bring my daughter back maybe next week, with a friend and her college daughter while she is home......it is worth the drive. Close to you though, go there! I am also working with OH to get a new picture posted next to my name, so be looking for it, I can't figure out how to do it myself! Computer illiterate I guess. Michelle

Since Look Twice had their 50% off sale, the shop got cleaned out on Saturday! I went back and spent $80 and got 14 garments!!! The most expensive items I got were two stretchy Chico's like tops for $14.50 (brand new) size S! I got Gloria Vanderbilt, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, etc! Great stuff, my whole summer wardrobe! I will go to the Service League tomorrow, my friend runs the place! When you are there again, let me know and maybe I can meet you there.
