My story is long and ugly....but, briefly I hadn't seen my PCP for almost 6 years due to the fact that I didn't have any insurance. I'm not really sure how I stayed healthy all that time, but my weight did balloon. When I finally got insurance, I went to my doctor of 20+ years who had thrown away all of my records and copies of my weights. My first request for surgery was denied due to the pre-existing illness clause, but after one year when my insurance company (BCBS of NJ--HMO) asked for a running record of my weight....I supplied them all my Weigh****chers weight ins. 3 years worth! I was approved this second time in 2 days. Pretty good HUH? Lisa

So, I had my appt last night. My appt time was 5:30pm but the first 30 minutes were taken up by my 4 yr old. As soon as we got there she had a MAJOR nose bleed that lasted for 25 minutes!!! Anyway, I was there for 1.5 hrs & they were great. They took alot of medical history & even did an EKG. They said they woul dhave a letter ready for the surgeon by Tuesday. I couldn't be happier! Thanks for all of your support! Amy
