Race Report Posted
Hey Everyone,
Well, yesterday was my first Triathlon of the season.
And, as you can see, I lived to tell the tale.
It's a pretty long read, but if you're interested, I've posted my full race report (with pictures!) on my online Triathlon Journal:

Thanks for all the encouragement. I truly does mean alot to me.
I'm a little sore now... need rest... and a hot tub... maybe a massage... and a beer....
Be Well,
A.J.
When the wind kicked up Sunday morning and woke me up (I was sleeping on the boat), my first thought was of you -- hoping that the winds and the increased cold (that hadn't been around on Saturday) wasn't going to make it too terrible for you. I should have known that my buddy, AJ, with his positive thinking, great attitude and magnificant body (LOL) wouldn't let Mother Nature hold him back!!!!!
Congratulations on a great race, an even better journey toward it, and your success.
I love you babe - and am proud to call you my friend!
Hugs,
Nannette
AJ
Went down to Pine Beach on Sunday to just walk the 5k---Damn it was so so Windy and beyond cold.
But, YOU- I think your blog says it all:
Hello... My name is A.J. and I'm a Triathlete.
Beyond congratulations- to think where you have come in a little over a year----you are an inspiration to All, well at least me.

I don't know who is "sappier" right now! I just read your race report, and continued to the bottom of the page. I cried several times during it, it is beautiful to read it. Your enthusiasm and zest for life are inspiring-to say the least! You are a great writer also
I loved the part of your journal that said something like "this isn't a journal about weight loss, it's about doing things I never thought I would be able to do." How true that is. You GO A.J.... YOU GO!!!! Do it for all of us formerly fat folks.... you make us all proud. You make me want to find something I thought I never could do, and now I can do... and I will.
