Anyone from South Jersey?

I am near AC and have a date set, but surgery hasn't been approved by insurance company yet. Just looking to chat with locals who had surgery or are having surgery :)

i'm from south jersey ..dr pasupathy did my surgery i'm 3.5 years post op started at 297 i got as low as 129 i know weigh 145, and have been stable with that for 7 months

Hi Ray, I just found out mine is going to be in the City Division. To be very honest I am a tad freaked about that. I have never been in the City Division, although I am sure it's a fine facility, the not knowing is scary. Apparently my surgeon has his own suite there that is supposed to comfort me lol I work in the city so for my co-workers it will be convenient. How long ago did you have your surgery? How are you these days? Since I just got approved I am going to really start taking "seriously" all the tasks I need to do to prep. Being a divorced mother of two, with not much family I am a tad light on the support aspect but my friends collectively assure me they will all come through for me. I am seriously considering hiring a support person, is that crazy or what? Any way if you get a chance let me know about your AC experience.

I'm in South Jersey - though not as far south as you. I'm in Bellmawr - about 10 minutes from Center City Philly.

Small world I was raised in Bellmawr, been at the shore since I was 18 though. Have you had your surgery already? I am set for 6-6 and just got approval by my insurance company. I lived on Midway lane and graduated Trition in 82 how about u?

It is a small world! I'm originally from South Philly, and grew up from age 11 in Medford, NJ. We moved to FL after we got married, and moved back here, settling in Bellmawr 6 years ago. We live a couple of blocks from the Bellmawr Municipal Building and the fire station - pretty convenient if we ever plan on having a fire, a burglary, or need a library book in a hurry I graduated from Shawnee High School the same year - '82. We have our 25 year reunion in November, I think. I had my surgery on August 1, 2006. I am down 135 pounds and feeling great

I read another post of yours Roberta wherein you said you went to Boston and had Haddock, I love Haddock and happy to learn I might actually be able to have a little bit of it. You two are inspiring keep up the good work.
