NJ DSers Help

Hi Everyone My name is Paula and I've been looking for a good DS doctor in NJ. There are not many. I'd love to here from you and your DS experience. I had Lap band done in 2004 and did very well with it (but did not reach goal) till it eroded in to my stomach....I had it removed in January 2007 and the weight is creeping back on, I have to do something very soon. I think DS is the way I want to go so far. I know my insurance is going to give me a hard time AETNA HMO so if you have any words of advice/experience I love to hear about that too. thanks so much Paula

DS surgeries are very rare in NJ -- I don't know of any NJ surgeons doing them; however, United Surgical in Staten Island -- Drs McMullen and Nicastro do them, and are excellent surgeons. Also, you may very well have a fight on your hands with Aetna -- they haven't been approving DS either..... Good luck. Nannette
