I have a date!!

Thanks to so many who wrote me since my last post. I was highly concerned about upfront costs for my surgery and everyone who wrote was so supportive and had some terrific ideas. As it turns out, my Mom has gifted me ½ what my surgeon will require upfront and my surgeon has agreed to allow me to pay the remainder after my surgery. Whew... That said.....my insurance company has approved my surgery and my "new birthday" is May 16. I cannot even tell you all how ready for this I am. It's been over a year of planning and appointments and fighting with the insurance company. Getting that date was like a large dose of valium!!! For those who are out there and just had their surgery....if you have a question or concern...please (please!) post it. Selfishly....you help me when you do and if not for the questions of others, I may not even know what to ask Thanks again for everyone's support! Lisa

Hi Lisa, that's wonderful news. Your mom came thru for you and you have your date, Congratulations. I will be thinking and praying for you on May 16th. Don't worry, before you know it the surgery will be over and you will begin your journey to the losing side. So now, all you have to do is relax, Hugs, Connie
