hi frank i tell my husband he looks like a cow in the field the way his skin hangs down -- he knows he has to wait until his 1 year appt with the surgeon before he can be released to have plastic surgery -- start going to your PCP now to complain about the skin -- complain about rashes -- start to get your documentation ready to make sure that it is medically necessary to have insurance pay for the removal of the skin -- take this opportunity to get the ball rolling so that you can start plastics at a year out -- in the mean time -- stuff all that skin into your new jeans and buy some compression clothing -- they have compression clothing at walmart in the men's department -- it just holds all the skin in place -- the best of luck to you Roberta

Frank; I have a long way to go before I am ready for plastics but my surgeon was willing to discuss a pannelectomy when I was at a certain weight, far from my goal. The idea was to enable me to walk better. I opted not to go for it as I had a panni 4 years ago and my pannus has shrunk. If you are paying out of pocket talk to your surgeon. If your insurance will pay then the surgeon will probably have to start documenting medical reasons for the PS Good luck. Jeanne

Frank~ WOW! Do you realize you have lost 7.4 pounds per week since your surgery! That is over a pound a day since your surgery! Way to go The loose skin, it's a drag, we all have it. I do what Christine says, buy those tight jeans and shove all that skin in them! I'd rather wear a size 10 stuffed with loose skin, than the size 24's I used to wear. I don't think I will do the plastic surgery, so I can't give much advice there. Good luck whatever you decide to do. Michelle Brennan
