NUTRITIONIST in Toms River....

Hello Friends~Angela in particular! I found the name and address of the nutritionist that Marcie and I used before our gastric bypass surgery. She is very nice and when I saw her she was only accepting WLS patients and diabetics into her practice, but that was 9 months ago already. I can tell you that you will like her. I have Horizon BCBS NJ and just paid the $20 co payment to see her. Angela~ I will call her tomorrow. I am sure she told me to come back after surgery, she said she would help me with my food choices after surgery...... maybe she isn't taking "new" post op patients? Maybe she only see's people post op that she saw pre op? I know her hours were limited and she only took WLS and diabetics. I will call her. Sorry about that. I don't know of any other nutritionists, she is the only one that I ever went to see. Michelle

Michelle: She did talk to me and give me "advice" about milk servings, (4 a day) but she was way off. I will spare the boring details of my opinion, but she didn't understand my needs and problem AT ALL, and did not have an interest in helping. I really wanted someone to sit with me and design a menu. Angela

Angela~ I am so sorry that she didn't help you. I was hoping that she would be exactly what you needed... hopefully someone else on the boards, or at a meeting, will know of a good nutritionist closer than Atlantic City Michelle

Hi Michelle, Obviously Angela has already called the nutritionist you recommended and was told that she will not meet with post-op RNY patients. Any other suggestions??? Hugs, Connie
