hi angela one of the boys i work with is on a gluten free/casein free diet -- are you just starting this?? i've done a bunch of research on this subject -- you can find some gluten free stuff at the super wal-marts -- and down here in the south jersey area (medford) is a lady who makes gluten free bread that is kinda soft -- virtua hospital in voorhees has a meeting on the 1st sunday of the month for celiacs -- there is also a little pizza/pasta place in voorhees that has a gluten free menu -- i'll chat with ya anytime and share ideas with you take care roberta

I have been eating sugar free since my RNY, and gluten free the first year. I did start allowing gluten in my diet and I'm going back to a strict gluten free diet for a variety of reasons. I do not have celiacs, but I believe I am sensitive to wheat/gluten. The voorhees place sounds awesome, if you get a chance, let me know the name of it Thanks, Angela

hi angela i also have menu's for alot of restaurants and the allergens listed in the foods if you would like a copy of all that -- everything from fast foods to outback and pf changs this child doesn't have celiacs either -- his father put him on this diet plan to 'cure' his autism and to lose weight -- but if he's drinking a whole bottle of soy milk at one sitting he's not going to lose weight lol i also signed up for the Clan Thompson newsletter to help me along http://www.clanthompson.com they talk alot about celiacs -- but they also have recipes -- listings of lectures -- where to buy products -- ask the dr section it's been an education for me with this child -- a very interesting education -- and it's not that hard to follow once you learn how it works trix cereal is now gluten free -- so all the boys (4) in the house can have the same cereal and 1 doesn't have to feel singled out that's the hardest thing about it with him -- he's 17 and wants to go to McDonalds again -- he wants the foods that he's always had -- which in turn can cause behaviors haha i also have weekly menu's made up for this child -- if you would like to take a look at them -- and i know i have a chili recipe someplace -- let me look at his book when i get to work later take care roberta
