Cardiology Help!

Does anyone know of a place in Central Jersey than can perform an Outpatient Cardio Stress Test? I am not able to get an appointment . The last two places I called state they can't do it because of my weight. Their scale only goes up to 350lbs. Argh!!! I am waaaaaaaaaaay overweight. I know this and I want the surgery, but I am too heavy for the testing???? Ok well any help is always appreciated as I am just a bit frazzled.

Hi M G, I went to see Dr Avendano in East Brunswick, All of the testing is done right in his office. I had a stress thallium, an echocardiogram, and a carotid doppler. These are the tests that he wants done in order to clear you for surgery. I did have to go in to make sure that the machine that takes the pictures was ok for my size.(317lbs). There are several doctors and his staff was very friendly, When I called, I told them exactally whay my intentions were and they scheduled everything for me within the following week. I completed the tests in 2 days, back to back appts. They are on Cranbury Rd. 732-613-1988. Good luck...let me know what happens. Judy

I am going to Cedarbrook Cardiology in South Plainfield. Dr. Rakla has been more than helpful and deals closely with many prospective WLS patients. I had my stress test today. His office staff is great too, you can call them and I am sure they can tell you if they can accommodate you. Their number is 908-756-1703. Good luck.

I found a place and have an appointment today. I told them my weight and they were ok. Thanks for the help. I will keep my fingers crossed.
