plastic surgery doc

I am in the process of getting approval for plastic surgery from my insurance. Dr. Iqbal did my RNY,and now he will do the tummy tuck. I was just wondering if anyone out there has had this done by him,and if so,how did it go? Does he tighten the stomach muscles while he's in there? I forgot to ask him! Please let me know if you have had this done so I can get information before my next office visit! Thanks!

Denise You need to check with your doctor to be sure he is doing a tummy tuck or is he just going to remove the skin. Your muscles are not tightened when the skin is removed. I had the abdominal plasty which is the tummy tuck and the muscles are tightned. ALSO Have you considered donating your skin? I donated mine when I had mine done in November something to consider. Hi. I think I have seen you at the fitness connection-the support group meetings for Dr. Pasupathy and Dr. Iqbal? Anyway no Dr. Iqbal is not a plastic surgeon. However everyone I have spoken to that has had their tummy tucks by him has been very pleased with the results. I know Dr. Pasupathy sends his patients to Dr. Watts. He is a plastic surgeon who has offices in Vineland and Phila. Call the office and ask your questions before you have the surgery. They won't mind. Good Luck, Shaun
