Jade - a lot of people have been asking about you..including me....as it was almost two weeks and we heard nothing! I'm sorry you feel lousy.....not knowing your complications - I can tell you that at 2 weeks out I was very wea****il you're on full liquids and can get some calories in it's not at all unusual to feel quite weak. It's really important to stay hydrated above all else. That's a challenge postop. But I'm now 9 weeks out and feeling so much better. You will feel better. Susan

I was always amazed at the people who posted that they felt great right after surgery. It took me a while until I felt normal, I'm talking 6-8 weeks. The first two were extremely hard on me because I had to be readmitted to the hospital one week post op. I had some kind of pain in my abdomen that they really never figured out but speculated that it could have been pancreatitis. I was a mess because my electrolytes were all screwed up, it was amazing that I could even get around. However, it does get better and you will get there, just give yourself some time. This is a major life change and those never come easy. Good luck. I also agree with everyone else, call your doctor if you think something is wrong. Amy

Jade~ I am sorry you are feeling bad, but I think it's very normal. I felt awful for the first few weeks, until I was able to get around like I did before surgery anyway. Just call your doctor to make sure nothing sounds bad to him, and then ALLOW yourself to relax and do as little as you can get away with. You just had major surgery and are making a major life change, be gentle on Jade. Michelle Brennan
