When can you drink a first sip of Diet soda? I heard that stretches your pouch, and if that's true i will stay away. But i'm tired of water and crystal light, BLAH. just a taste probably will satisfy my taste buds. any suggestions? Thanx

I personally don't like soda the bubbles are the worst. I would ask Michelle Brennan. She likes soda and would be more inclined about this then me. but with the drinks try unsweetened decaf ice tea. make it yourself.I drink it all the time. Good luck Charlene

Thanx for responding, I'm scared of that, the gas in the soda. I'm sorry who is Michelle Brennan? I have lipton tea bags, can i make it cold? It doesn't say i can make it cold. but yea crystal light is getting boring, and water, and i can't drink freshly squeezed juice, or blended, But thank you for your advise! Zandy

zandy: put about 4 teabags in small pot add water, place on stove and let it come to a boil get a one gallon pitcher, pour in hot tea then take tea bags out and fill the rest of the pitcher with cold water. i use one packet of equal in my tea when i pour. its really good and it satisfys my taste bud for something different. use decaf tea though. I found myself feeling the same way, getting tired of plain water, my stomach being irritated by Lemonade Crystal Light and being grossed out by Raspberry Crystal Light, I started making my own iced tea..I used Decaff Early Gray Tea and squeezed fresh oranges into it, some Splenda...and I was such a happy camper, it was the only thing that would quench my thirst and that I enjoyed...I just found Wylers Singles in Iced Tea as well and I enjoy them, try a piece of lemon, lime or orange peel in your water it adds a nice flavor to it without any additional stuff, it's great in the summer especially when you keep the peels in the freezer in a baggy. Good luck!

HI Jacqueline I know the lemonade is too strong for my stomach also, the acid, i guess i will have to buy that, Early Gray Tea? I will try it out see what it taste like. I have Wylers Pink Lemonade. i drank it last night, pretty good but it's a bit too sour for me, even when i only put a little bit of that mix in the water. u know? ok i guess i will have to make my own dranks from now on. only safe bet for me! thanx for your advise!! I haven't had soda of any kind in such a long time, but from what I understand, if you drink diet soda it should be flat as the bubbles from the soda can be uncomfortable for your stomach. Carla

Any carbonated drinks can aggrevate your pouch early on, and over time stretch it out. Try Tropicana Sugar Free Lemonade -- in the plastic bottles, not the cans. It is very good. You can also have the flavored water, like Propel, etc and decaf liquids like coffee, tea or icea tea. Good luck. Nannette
