Toms River PCP? Or someone good anywhere else?
Hi all! I'm in need of a new PCP. I remember at the OCWLS support group that a couple people had mentioned a woman doctor in Toms River that had the surgery herself, and they were very happy with her. At that time last year, I had called her office to set up an appointment to establish myself with her in case something were to come up, however, her office wasn't taking any new patients. I've since misplaced her information, so I'm hoping that someone can help me with that. Additionally, if anyone has another PCP that they're happy with, I'm open to suggestion!
Reason being, I fell asleep in my recliner one night last week for a couple hours, and woke up with my head all crooked...I immediately felt pain in my neck and shoulder. I thought it would work itself out by the next day, but it felt like I got whiplash! I went to the pharmacist, and she said that it's probably just muscular strain from sleeping funny...she suggested a hot shower or bath, Thermacare Heat Pads for when I have 8-hours to apply it, then some good ole' Ben Gay overnight. I'm taking Tylenol too. Well, it's almost been a week now, and it really hasn't gotten any better. My neck and shoulder hurts to the touch, throbs, and I wake up in pain during the night. I also have problems turning my neck to look at something...I'm having to turn my entire upper body. I'm sitting in my recliner now, with a heating pad on my neck! I'm miserable, which is totally not like me, and really don't know what to do at this point...that's why I want to see a doctor to find out if there's anything they can suggest.
Thanks everyone!
Hugs,
Wendy
Great! I'm going crazy trying to remember her name and find her info.
I can't believe how falling asleep for a couple hours with my head all crooked could do so much damage. Girl, I'm in some serious pain! You can feel the tightness in the back of my neck too...it's awful. I wish I could wear the Thermaheat pad during the day, but unless I wear a turtleneck to hide it, it looks like I have a maxi pad on my neck! And the "Eau de Ben Gay" isn't attractive either! LOL!
Don't be surprised if you see me at the diner Friday night, slipping some vodka into my coffee from my secret flask...Grey Goose, take me away!!!
See you tomorrow night!
Hugs,
Wendy
