Well here's the story. I'm on antibiotics for 10 days. The dr isnt sure whats going on he said he's never seen this before. My body may be rejecting the port. He may have to move it, or take it out completely. I'm also on benadryl because I might be allergic to some material in the band, which is extremey rare. But also being allergic to tattoo dye is rare and i found out that the hard way. So at this point I'm not sure whats going on. I'll see him again on tuesday. Now i have some kind of lump around my port. But I hope it was just some small infection and the antibiotics will clear it up.

Michele, Its so good to hear from you as you have been on my mind since your last message and I kept checking for your update. Your in my prayers for that antibotic to work its magic and clear up an infection if thats what is. Did they say the entire band might have to removed? This is the first time I have ever heard of a situation like yours and I feel so bad for you because it seemed like you were doing great. I never imagined someone might be allergic to something in the band. It sucks you have to go through this! Take it easy this weekend! Please keep us posted!

At this point he feels only the port may need to be replaced. He thinks if he moves it it should be fine. But Im afraid that it will do the same thing on the other side, and I dont want another scar if I dont need it.

doing better. The dr mehta is still confused on why this is happening, he said my body is just adjusting to the foreign body in its own way. Its looking a little better. The pain is gone so thats good.
