Hey Roberta~ Funny you should ask about energy levels. I still don't have the energy level that I had before surgery. I always think about that, it's strange. It seems like with 93 pounds gone I would have tons more energy, but I felt better, had more energy at 240 pounds. It's weird. I now know, as of 2 weeks ago, that it's my thyroid though. I hadn't taken my Syntthroid since before surgery, 7 months ago today, and I had bloodwork done. My thyroid level was at it's highest level ever. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism when I had my youngest son, 14 years ago. I stopped the medicine and thought that the weight loss would correct it. I lost 60 pounds back in 1998 (phen fen-miracle drug) and my thyroid fixed itself! No luck this time, I guess too many years have gone by with that extra weight and my body got good and mad at me! Well--I just had to respond because it's funny you ask about energy level, how is yours?? Hope you are feeling well. And sleep-can you say AMBIEN?? I can't sleep without it most nights. Hypothyroidism is a cause of obesity, not the other way around... I'm astounded that your thyroid fixed itself in 1998... but you should expect to be on thyroid replacement the rest of your life.

That's GREAT, you must feel wonderful! I cannot wait until I can walk into a "normal" ladies store to buy "normal" size clothing. People stared? Ditto... who cares. Way to go.... Connie

I have to say i have alot of energy. Towards the end of the night... of course im tired. Sleep, well thats another story. I am having issues with that. I know its because im under alot of stress and pressure between my job and my ex..... I plan on talking to my surgeon when i see him on the 20th. Other than that... all is good!
Happy to be in

Christine: I too can't get used to the fact that I am no longer a plus size! It's super weird. I am a size 12!!! I have lots of energy on most days. Yesterday I helped my mom, who's diabetic and overweight, with her preparations for Passover. She couldn't believe all the energy I had! She had a low blood sugar attack and then had to lie down for awhile! I was rareing to go the entire time!
