Did this happen to anyone else??
I had RNY on 3/6. I was doing really well, no pain or soreness. Then, on Sunday I decided that I needed to get out of the house, so I went to a St. Patrick's Day Parade, out to the store for shoe shopping, and down to the local bar to hang out with friends. I packed myself the food that I knew I needed and plenty of water, no alcohol for me. I felt pretty good, but by the ned of the day I was SO tired. On Monday I went to the food store to pick up a few things, nothing too strenuos.
Then, Monday night and yesterday, I started feeling VERY sore and crampy. I have the most pain if I'm laying down and then try and sit up. I called my Dr. and I'm waiting for a phone call back, but in the mean time, I'm going a little crazy. Did anyone else have this happen? I'm thinking that I just overdid it on Sunday and Monday and that my body is telling me to slow down, but I'm wondering if anyone else had this happen?
Thanks for any input.
I think a call to your doctor is always a good idea if something seems out of the ordinary, but you are SOOOOO soon out of surgery, I think maybe you really just overdid it. You did a lot of running around and visiting, and under normal cir****tances I would understand if you were tired. But having just had surgery, it's more than understandable that you would be sore and tired.
What were you eating? Could that have played a part? This soon out of surgery, I wasn't eating anything solid - just full liquids.
