Well everyone, it happened last night... I don't know if it was because I didn't chew enough, or if i ate too fast, or it just didn't agree with me. I ate chicken cut up really small, cooked in balsamic so it wasn't dry. I ate it around 5pmand no problems at all, then I went to have a little bit more at 930pm, and after like the 2nd bite. I got this terrbible pain, like epigastric pain, felt like it got stuck. No sooner did I start salavating excessively. I just wanted to die! So stupidly I grabbed a drink thinking it would help pu**** down..nope, lol, made it worse. I forced myself to fall asleep with this pain and when I woke up an hour later it was a bit better. But I still have this weird feeling in my stomach, and Im terrified to eat.

Michele, I am so sorry to hear the pain your going through. I have heard that keeping Papaya Enzyme on hand and chew a couple after every meal can help alot with digestion, you can buy them in any health food store. I havent been banded yet and Im scared of some of the Im reading others are going through happening to myself so Im actually learning what can happen and hopefully I can avoid some of it! Take care sweetie and keep us posted as to how your feeling. Also say a little prayer for me.

hi michele so sorry you felt sick last nite. i found that for me the best thing after one of these episodes is to wait 30 minutes after eating and then i sip hot decaf tea. its soothes the pain and helps the food settle. maybe this would work for you too. hope your feeling better today hugs, jacki

Having problems with leftover meat is a very RNY thing..not too sure how lap band common that is.. ..but..congrats and welcome to the foamies Papaya enzyme rocks.. its also the same stuff used in meat tenderizer. The day after episodes like that, I used to find it easier to stick to softer foods like cottage cheese and yogurt, baby the stomach a bit.

hey michelle live and learn and the only help i have found is doing exactly what you did -- force myself to sleep it off and when i get up i feel so much better -- i just can't picture shoving anything else down my throat if i know it's not going anywhere -- better luck to you as we all learn Roberta

Michele, WELCOME to my world...LOL....I know how you felt, this happens to me when I don't chew, chew, chew or I take to big of a bite...FOR ME the best thing to do is stick my finger down my throat and bring it up...I know this might not be the best thing to do but I just can't handle the pain...I hope your feeling better today...Oh, I can't eat chicken either, you will learn what foods work for you, in time....Good Luck...Sharon
