Opinions needed - Dr. Jean-Baptiste, Muhlenberg Hospital

Hello All, Asking again for feedback please. Would you share your experiences and feelings about Dr. Jean-Baptiste and Muhlenberg Hospital? I have received some positive feedback from kind people willing to share, but before I totally lock in, just thought I would send out one final request for feedback. Dr. JB is an incredible doctor. He is knowledgable, kind, caring, up front, and honest! My husband and i are so glad we decided to have him do our surgeries. He is very thorough with all the tests that he requires and if he doesnt like the results he will have you go for more. He does not like surprises. The staff is very knowledgable. Kathy, his rn, is an absolute doll. She is so supportive.. as well as Dr. JB..... and is there for you at any time. Judy is also wonderful as our nutritionist! A few weeks ago... i wasnt feeling very well and had horrible stomach pains.... didnt know what it was. I called the office and Dr. JB got on the phone with me and told me what he wanted me to do. To make a long story short..... He told me that he would call me back in two hours.... Two hours later... i received a phone call to check up on me from Kathy.... For me that was a first. I never had a doctor care that much to call me back to find out how i was doing. They really do care for their patients. I absolutely recommend Dr. JB for your bariatric surgeon. You will have no regrets if you go with him. Here your his patient... not a number.

Hi Clarice, Glad to see you are doing your research. It just so happens that Christine & I used Dr.JB for our surgeries as you know. He is nothing short of a Godsend as I had expressed before. He and his staff are as attentive as can be. Nothing & no one slips through the cracks, They are very thorough and not only do they make sure that everything is in order, they also take a personal interest in each & every patient. They are there for you night & day. Right up to holding your hand going into the operating room and being their when you come out. I'm sure you'll be happy if you chose him, and I'm sure that you'll find much positive feedback sent to you from others. Clarice, Don't even think twice about Dr. JB...He is the best...I've had nothing but a possitive experience with him as well as Kathy and Judy....They are all wonderful in the office. Oh wait, I forgot to mention Christina the front desk manager...I had done so much research with doctor's and found him to be the most understanding, caring loving man. I now call him GOD....Best of luck to you... Sharon

Thank you all for your personal and posted feedback. It just doesn't get better than this. I will be forging full speed ahead with Dr. Jean-Baptiste. Can't recall exactly how I stumbled onto this website, but I feel very lucky to have down so. There is a tremendous amount of caring and sharing and it's great to be a part of it. Hi Clarice: I am glad I saw your post. I had Dr. JB do my RNY in November. I had been considering surgery for almost a year and had checked out a few doctors but I didn't find anyone I liked enough to use for this procedure. One day while on the OH messageboards, I came across Dr. JB and since Muhlenberg is close to my house I decided to come to a support group at the Bariatric Center. I was immediately impressed with Dr. JB and his staff. The support group was well attended and Dr. JB knew every one of his patients names! I made an appt. for a consultation and he spent 90 minutes with me. He has such a great bedside manner and is such a gifted doctor/surgeon. I did so much research and I know I made the right decision in Dr. JB. The office staff is wonderful....Kathy, Judi, Christina, the nicest ladies you can ever ask for. Good luck and you are making the right decision to use the B.C.

It is a good thing that you are inquiring about patients' experiences with Dr. JB. My personal opinion is that he is wonderful, fantastic, gifted, knowledgable, and caring. He was one of four doctors I had to choose from based on my insurance company. I knew after talking with him that he was my choice. He explained everything above and beyond. He knows his patient by name and he does not have a problem speaking to you if you call for advise. His staff is outstanding as well. He is extremely passionate about wls and helping those suffering from obesity.

I whole heartedly agree, dr jb is the best! I had lapband surgery 10/4/06 dr jb answered all my questions, I never felt rushed at all. He knows all of our names and is there if we need to call him for any question or problem. His staff, kathy, judy and christine are equally supportive. I did a lot of doctor research before I chose dr jb. I knew at my first meeting that he would take good care of me. You will not be sorry. Blessings byvonne
