Lost another 5 lbs, for a total of 22.4 - now cleared for "soft foods". Had a long chat with Mom about Passover dinner (she's making it instead of my aunt, which means I can now go), and she's going to have a few things made special for me (a baked sweet potato, particularly, since I can't eat the matzo kugel). If the turkey's too dry, I'll blender it with a little gravy. Second night, Mom's best friend makes, and I already know her brisket will be more than soft and moist enough to enjoy. Also, Renee serves gefilte fish, which Mom does not, so I could always have more of that (in fact, I bought 4 jars for myself - one piece ought to make a very nice lunch!).

Hi Randy Yummy....I can't wait for Pesach dinner. My mother-in-law makes the best stuff. Your food choices sound excellent but just remember.....horseradish on the gefilte fish is a no-no right now. That would be just a little too hot and spicy on your new pouch right now! See you soon. Hugs, Kat

Oh, really? So you mean I shouldn't have had the ****tail sauce with my steamed shrimp for dinner last night? Didn't bother me in the slightest...

LOL....****tail sauce?? how spicey was it? I think the horseradish might be a little hotter than the ****tail sauce. Besides....what kind of jJw are you that you're eating shrimp???? (just teasing sweetie....you know that!!) I could be wrong though. If it didn't bother you, great!! But be careful, ok? I don't want that pouch irritated.

LOL - a non-kosher one! Actually, the ****tail sauce was nice and sharp... but I promise to stick to the red horseradish (with the grated beets), which is much less spicy than the white. You know how much I love horseradish? When I was a teenager, I was a cashier in a kosher deli. For Passover, the boss would make fresh horseradish every year. I would bring home a container of the red and a container of the white... and my Uncle Morris and I would sit together and eat the white horseradish plain on matzo! The rest of the family would watch, horrified... I don't like chillis, but I *love* horseradish!

Ditto on the horseradish and matzoh. But I love Chili. In fact I sat shivah for my Mexican Food Fetish last March. I really have learned how to spice up my stir fry with ginger and hot pepper flakes. Gives me a chance to get spicy without mourning mexican.
