Still in pain, help!
Hi everyone,
I need all the help I can get. I am 13 days post op and still have this nagging dull pain on my left side, just around the waist area. I cannot bend on that side nor can I sleep on that side. Is this to be expected or am I just acting like a "baby"? Has anyone else had this problem. I took some liquid tylenol yesterday and that seem to help a little bit. Any advice or tips on what to do, I really feel very uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else is okay.
Hugs,
Connie
Hi Connie,
Did your doctor give you any pain medicine when you were released from the hospital? I did have some pain and that is normal. I would say if the pain continues to contact your doctor. You're not acting like a baby, if the pain is unbearable for you, then you should get it checked to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry.

Connie,
Don't stress... this is common.
I had the EXACT same pain for a full month after surgery.
It never got worse and it never got better. Then one day, I woke up and it was completely gone. The Surgeon told me that it happens just like that to many of his patients. I had to suck it up, sleep in a recliner and deal with the pain for a month.
Good Luck... it gets better.
Be Well,
A.J.
Hello Connie,
I am just starting the WLS journey, so unfortunately I don't have any words of wisdom.
Just writing you to find out how you are doing now? Also to see if you are going to call the Dr.
I live in East Windsor which is kind of close to you. I am also considering Dr. Brolin as well as Dr. Pupkova @ Barix Cinic. Tough decision.
If I choose Dr. Brolin perhaps I will see you at one of the support groups.
Regards,
Clarice
10 days post-op and I am still feeling pretty crappy, Most of the pain is manageable, Only two big issues worry me, My left leg throbs in a crampy, centralizing sharpness throughout the day - especially should I try to sit on a wooden chairl My right thigh from hip to knee is numb to the touch, but pressure, like lying down in bed, begins a series of continual high-speed electric shocks that are quit painful to the point of debilitating.
The surgeon ordered a DVT scan to rule out bloodclots, which I guess I passed fine.
I am taking B-12 sub-L every night, along with my cemtrun chewabkes and calcium citrate
I don't know what to do, but this incessant pain and anoyance is really bothering me. Who should I call? What kind of doctor should I seek out.
Then there's the exhaustion. I have to take a nap between paragraphs here!
Please, advice??
