Yipee! APPROVED!!!

HI again! I just got a call from Dr. Schmidt's office, and I was approved! Wow, that only took a week! The only thing is that I scheduled my surgery for the day after Easter because I have off that week (I'm a teacher), and now Schmidt will be on vacation, so they re-scheduled me for the 17th. I'm going to try to see if I can get it done before he goes on vacation. so I don't have to use all of my sick days. Ok, I'm starting to feel a little better now... Marcie

Yesterday when I saw your post about anxiety, I didn't have time to post (at work), and just went in to do so, when I saw your new post about getting approved. I am very happy for you -- one less thing for you to worry about. As for the normal anxiety of the surgery itself -- if you weren't nervous, you wouldn't be normal; however, you already know that if you keep on going the way you are (morbid obesity), you're not going to be around for your children in the long haul anyway. Doing the support groups, one overwhelming thing I hear time and time again -- even from those who have had some complications -- is that the only thing they regret is that they didn't do it earlier in their life so they could enjoy the times with their families more. Nice, Marcie! And, don't get too worked up about. Dr Schmidt just flat out rules. Like we've discussed before, you and I both decided on WLS for the same reason... your son & my daughter.
