10 days post op and 20 lbs gone forever !!

Post Date: 2/15/07 8:29 am Hi everyone, I am having such an amazing journey already. What an exciting ride this is so far ! I can feel myself shrinking, it's incredible.!!! I had a WOW moment during the night... I had kicked my covers off apparently. I woke up cold, and reached for the covers. But the surprise was I actually sat straight up and reached down to grab them......... "Sat straight up?" Only God knows when the last time I could do that was...... woohoo !!!! I go for my first post op check up today at three thirty. I hope I get my drain out, ( it's still draining a little though). And I hope and I do think the scale there will say the same as mine. It always does, they are both digital. And last but not least, it's my BIRTHDAY today ! But I have decided I am going to start counting backwards now DH bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers....and my kids are giving me presents later this evening. I hope you all had a nice Valentines Day, and doing well too. Cissy

Cissy!!! I'm so glad to hear from you. I've been thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. I'm 8 days postop and doing pretty well. I too am amazed at the changes in my body and while I'm pretty wiped out overall, each day is such a gift. Happy Birthday....and keep posting. Susan

Thanks everyone............I had a wonderful birthday, a nice homemade cake that my DIL made. ( didn;'t eat any of course, nor did I want any ) and got beautiful presents. Cooked an awesome dinner for everyone but had my sf jello and homemade chicken broth, and was fine with that. Glad you are all doing well too, Jackie, I do plan to attend this coming Monday.
