I haven't had a lap-band so take this with a grain of salt (I'm having RNY on Tuesday!!!), but I wouldn't eat popcorn so soon after your procedure.....from what I've read and been told - that kind of roughage is out for the first year!........I'm sure experienced people will have better advice.....and besides you are probably at the movies now...so whatever you do I hope you enjoy yourself. Sharon-email Judi and ask her about popcorn...I think it's a no no! The next Bariatric Center support group is on Feb. 15th. 5:30 - 7:00. It's always the third Thursday of the month.

If you can eat popcorn, I suggest that you pop your own 94% fat free and sneak it in. The stuff at the theater is a no-no for anyone. A

I don't know what the general word is about popcorn, but I get the Smartpop with white cheddar and chew really well. I don't usually have difficulty, but stop immediately with any sensation of pressure in the chest.
