Do any of you have any idea how to stop the pain, from an infected cutical? I have soaked in peroxide, I have put neo-sporn. And a bandaide, but I can't stop the pain. Any ideas. It is killing me. Thanks bridget k.

Soak it 3x a day if you have time, in hot sal****er, cover it with a bandaide and let it be....Try to soak it as much as you can....Next time don't pick it...Feel better...

Well, I did not pick it. I had my nails done, and I guess she cut it with her tools. I did wind up going to the doctor. They numb it 'and tried to get some stuff out, and also gave me med's. I will do the soak, the Dr. Also said that. I thank you both for responding. Have a good weekend, b. Kulesa

1. Soak it three times a day in ho****er. Take a dull flat blade (like the back of a butter knife), and GENTLY lift the edge of the nail after a 5-10 minute soak. After a day or two of doing this, the abscess should open and the pus should come out. 2. Call your doctor and GET AN ANTIBIOTIC PRESCRIPTION.

Dear randy I have not been on the nj forum in a long time. You did post to me when I had the infected finger. I wonder sometimes if that is why I got infection in my port incision about 9 days after surgery. I had to spend 7 more days in the hospital with iv meds. I'm all good now and had my first fill. Very slow start for me, due to the infection. I'm only 15lbs down. I'm sorry to hear about your job. I hope you are better now and have found new employment. Are you still doing the gym? What did the patients complain about, did you every get to know? Or where they just saying that? Good luck to you let me know how you are doing. Bridget k.

Bridget, You should definitly go back to the nail place and give them your Dr. bill...They never should have done that, you probably got an iffection because the tools were not clean...I have been getting my nails for OMG years and that has never ever happened to me...I would definitly say something to the owner...Feel better honey and soak, soak, soak...

Just want you all to know my finger nail, is on the mend. I had a sisters weekend, so I soaked, and I took the anti-b. From my doctor. On sat. Am, my sister had to stick a needle in it so it would start to drain. It now has less pain, and I will be on the med's the rest of the week, and my surgery is a week from mon. Thank you all for your post bridget k.
