Question for the Geeks
As a valentine present for the new hubby, I went and had some Glamour Shots done of the new me this past weekend. They really kill you with prices though, so after picking ony 4 of the shots to get printed up (haven't gotten them yet), they gave me a DVD with a video slideshow of my entire photo session. (I'm sure it is copyrighted, but....)
My question is this: Is there any way to print or download that video to my picturetrail website, or to capture images from it digitally. If I put the DVD into a computer that only has a CD slot, it doesn't recognize it. If I put into a computer that has a DVD slot, it automatically plays it. If I view the "contents" via the "Explore" button, there are several files, but no .jpg or other obvious picture files.
Can you give me any help here around this?
Thanks
Nannette
IF I was to take a DVD (I have a DVD Drive) and be watching a Movie- If I hit the PRINT SCREEN button, it should Copy that image to the clipboard.
You can then take that Copied Image to print or manipulate anyway U want
Let me know, I can always bring my Laptop on Friday----Maybe therre is a Wi-FI and we can send it to you at home

She's got a DVD - that means that the pictures are all encoded in the VOB files. If any of you have DVD ripping software, like you find at dvdhelp.com, you can probably reverse-engineer the files - unless it's a Data DVD. Still, if it was a data DVD, she'd probably see image files.
If either of you gentlemen who offered to help Nanette have any questions, feel free to drop me a message. I'd come down to Tom's River myself, but I work in Mahwah, and that's one heck of a drive.

She's making a small selection of images of herself for personal use. That would fall under the "fair use" clause of copyright, even if the rights were vested in the photographer, which, in this case, I doubt, since SHE paid HIM to make the photos and video. AFAIK, that makes the video HER property, to do with as she wishes.
