Shameless Gushing!!

Hey All: I am 1 year (almost to the day) post-op. I had been over 300 lbs for about 10 years, topping out at 360lbs the day of my surgery. I started dancing this year, and dreamed of dancing in the recital. Well, two weeks ago, our dance teacher presented us with the costumes we would wear in the recital. My heart broke - it was a halter top with jazz pants. My first thought was - I can't wear that - I am too fat! I wouldn't even try the costume on! I went home that night and cried - I so wanted to be in the recital, but I thought I was too fat for the costume. I finally got up the courage to try it on. It was an adult large - I figured I could gauge if I needed a 1X or 2X by the way the large fit. Well, to my surprise, not only did the costume fit, but it looked good on me!!! I can not tell you how happy I am!! I have lost 145 lbs - I would like to lose another 55 lbs before all is said and done. I'm going to take tap next year. I've always wanted to learn to tap dance!
