Feb. 22nd Surgery; I need a support group in Freehold, NJ

Hi Wendy, I cannot make Friday's meeting but somewhere in the message posts I thought I read that there was a meeting Feb. 1, Comm. Med. Center in Toms Rivers called "Bariatric Angels". Am I wrong, if so, please let me know. Thanks.

There is a support group that meets at Monmouth Medical Center as well, though I have no details.

Hi Connie Congratulations on your surgery date. There is a support group at Kimball medical Center... mid month each month.. affiliated with the Toms River Group. Contact Michelle Brennan, Jack Martin, or Nanette on information on what night it meets. It meets at 7pm normally. It is held at the Center for Healthy living on the NE corner of the Kimball Medical center grounds... 198 Prospect street (I think.. this from memory)... .. Lakewood. There is a meeting at Community Hospital (the Ocean County Weight loss Surgical group... also sometimes referred to as the Toms River group of folks)... it meets the First Friday of each month... at 7pm... in Conference Room A (sometimes it is in another conference room but normally Room A). Contact Nannette here on the board... or Jack Martin for more info on this group.. it is very well attended. As Laura mentions on this page.. the Bariatric Angels support group meets at Community Hospital ...I think every thursday? Ask Laura (here on this post of yours) for more information and times, etc? Community Hospital is on Route 37 in Toms River. The Monmouth Group meets (I believe) the fourth Thursday each month at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. Ask Jack Martin for more information.. he normally attends almost every month. It starts at 7pm. These are the support groups that I am aware of? Congratulations again on your surgical date!! I bet your so excited. Even though I am in Maine... I am unsure where I will be long term....and because my heart has been in NJ the last couple years I am continuing to post here : ) Be encouraged... post here a lot and ask all the questions you can. The Toms River and Lakewood groups are especially favorites of mine... they are the ones that I attended for a couple years... and are VERY welcoming. Thanks Timmy Ray, I cannot believe all the support I am receiving and I haven't had the surgery yet. Your words of encouragement are greatly appreciated. I will definitely make the Friday meeting in Toms River this week and hopefully after surgery I will check out the other groups that you and several others have mentioned.
