Had surgery on 1/16/07

Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy became my choice for surgery as I found out I had Crohnes Disease and could not have RNY. I am happy to say things went really well, I went in for surgery1/16/07 and came home 1/19/07 I am home and down 16lbs!!! YAH!! I also had a liver biopsy as I have an enlarged liver. Going to see my surgeon Dr Borao on WED... I am feeling pretty good, a little tender and very excited to be a looser in my future! Hope to see you all at the Lakewood meeting next month! TAV

Thanks A.J., Yes, my date was set for 1/23/07 but then the surgeon's office called and said that the helping surgeon was not available on that date...so I could have the 16th or the 30th... I figured better sooner than later. Feeling really good now going to see my surgeon today, according to my scale I am down 20lbs!! Yah!!!!!!! I will see you soon at one of the meetings. I've been keeping tabs. Hmmm... bleeding from the head & body shots, eh? Making quite the name for ourselves, aren't we? Now I'm really bummed that I wasn't there. Oh... Because of my hectic life lately, I've had to change up my schedule this week, and will not be at the gym on Thursday night. Looks like a extra early morning rise for A.J. this week. (Oooooo... congratulations on your surgery. there is also a support group called Baratric angles every Thursday at community medical center (in Toms River on Route 37 just west of the parkway)at 7:00 to 9:00pm. This group is for those who have had surgery or in the process of being scheduled. I attend this meeting every week. I had my surgery 5 years ago. Please feel free to come. Laura G
