We met with Dr. JB today!!!!

Hi group, this is my first time posting. Dr. Jb is also my doctor and because he made me go to the gi doctor, they found an infection in my stomach . I had no clue it was there and there were no symptoms present. But I am grateful that they found it ! The surgery is still scheduled , but I'm in treatment for the infection. I will attend the support meeting next Thursday. I don't know what to expect. Have any of you been to the support group?

Hi! You missed the support group, it was last Thursday. It was a wonderful group, less people because of the bad weather threat....we missed our south jersey cousins. I think it is great that Dr. JB insists on an endoscopy...other doctors do not ask for it...you see he wants no surprises on the operating table! He is very thorough and cautious, one of the many reasons I chose him. Anyway, I have been to every support group since August and they are wonderful and really a must for all patients. It is nice to be in a room where everyone has faced the same weight issues and can be supportive! Hope you can come to the next meeting on Feb. 15.

I'm a physician myself, and I've been telling everyone who asks that I'm incredibly impressed with Dr JB *BECAUSE* he insists on the endoscopy beforehand. It makes absolutely sound medical sense! He's totally cool in my book!

Christine: I'm am so sorry things didn't work out at Barix. We all enjoyed meeting you and Bob. Hope you won't hold a grudge and will come back to visit us at the support meetings. On the other hand, so glad you found another surgeon you are comfortable with. We're warming up two seats on the losers bench for the two of you. Hope to see you again.
