My belly button stinks...
FYI-I was told by my doctor, surgeon and dermatologist that rubbing alcohol breaks down skin. Since as you lose weight, it's very susceptible to tearing or problems, it is best not to use alcohol on a gastric bypass patients skin.
Also, hydrocortisone makes the skin thin, and cannot be repaired.
I agree, defintely document now if you want to have plastics later.

Hi Michelle,
Hope your better now...its been awhile since you posted and awhile since I have been on the boards. My guess would be you prob just didn't dry your belly button and it got a little umm....damp. But I got to tell you, I read your post and thought dang--Michelle can smell her own belly button??!!!! That is wild. I had a momentary case of the sillies. I love reading your posts.
Take care!

Hey Barbara~
YOU are too funny! Yes... I could smell my own belly button, and it DOES sound funny! The smell was like toe jam, so it wasn't a good smell though..... and I couldn't smell is just sitting here and smelling, I had to touch it. This is getting grosser by the minute now! I am stopping before someone gets sick....
My belly button is fine now, thanks for all the responses from everyone. I will let the doctor know so he can document my files.
I had a mammogram and sonogram of my breast yesterday (I am fine THANK GOD) and the tech. was telling me that her friend had gastric bypass surgery, lost well over 100 pounds, and is now going to St. Barnabas and having plastic surgery. The cool part is that she is donating her excess skin to burn victims and they are doing the surgery either for free or very discounted!! She told me to look into it..... and I might just do that when the time comes, but I know there are a few of us ready for plastics now, it sounds like a good alternative? Help yourself and help someone else. Win-Win for sure!
Love to all!!!
See you in Toms River....next Friday
