Need a Monday, Tuesday or Saturday Support group in NJ or NY

Hi all, I'm done with all my tests but I need to make two support groups in order to qualify for my surgeon to send in my paperwork. They're willing to make an exception if I can't find one but here's the problem. My surgeon (Dr. Ferlzi) is excellent in providing everything in a roadmap style according to your insurance. They have support groups in two locations on Wednesday or Thursday. My problem is I work Wed-Fri 8pm-8am and can't make the 7-8 or 8-9pm groups. The program coordinator is working with me to try and find a group in NJ or NY that meets on either Mon., Tues., or Saturday that I can attend. He's willing to speak with that coordinator to ensure I have everything I need going into the procedure. Does anyone know a support group in NJ or NY that meets on those days? Appreciate the help, I'm almost there!

hi there is a support group that meets in Lakewood, but it is the third monday of every month, so we just met this week. we meet from 7-9 pm at the center for healthy living which is in a house directly behind Kimball Medical Center on rt 9. good luck, thats the only one i know of. hugs, jacki

Thanks Jacki, I'll keep an hear out and if nothing else comes up I'll make my way to that one on 2/19. Correct me if I'm wrong and could you provide contact information for the group if you have it. Is it through Kimbal or what, my surgeon is going to need everything to ensure everything is in place.

I don't know if this will help, but Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia has their support meetings the last Tuesday of the month. They are located at 8th and Spruce in Philadelphia. Jeanne

Drop me a line about the Monday, Feb 19th meeting at Kimball -- if you show up, I would be happy to provide a letter of attendance as one of the moderators of the OCWLS group. We are not affiliated with any specific Dr or hospital, just use Kimball and Community as meeting places. I have supplied several letters of attendance for other surgeons and not one has rejected. Dosia: Here is a meeting for you. I think it is this Monday coming up. I think it is every other Monday. I know because it is the same night as my bible study so I haven't made it yet. So far it's looks like I'm going to PA as it's a hospital driven program and they have a program coordinator that my program coordinator can speak to and ensure I get what I need. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! I feel so loved and cared for not only by my surgical staff at Dr. Ferzli but here on OH which I will be for life. I'm so comfortable now going into this knowing anything I have in question there's an answer this is really an answer to my prayers. EVERYTHING will be done and submited on 1/31 so that's when I'll begin my wait. I bless God for each and everyone of you, I have options, it's so good to have options.

My support group meets the first monday of the month, next meeting 2/5, from 6-8pm. We meet at the Atlantic City Medical Center (mainland division, Bacharach Rehabilitation Center) in Pomona. You would take exit 44 off of the Garden State Parkway. If you are interested, message me and I will give you more info. Bonnie
