DR. SLOTMAN

I have to schedule a consultation with Dr. Slotman for my surgery. Does anyone know what he generally requires of patients? Like, tests done or information brought..? Let me know. Thanks.

I had surgery Nov 20 2006 with Dr. Slotman, I think he is a GREAT Dr. The Requirements I had to do were, I had to see a Heart Dr, Lung Dr,A Shrink. I also had to see a "Womans Dr" LOL Had to have an Upper G.I, Not sure what else. Good luck to you on your Journey.

Thanks Cindy. I scheduled my consult with him for Feb 8th. The secretary or assistant told me that i would have to do a 6 month diet with my PCP becuase Aetna requires it. But i am already scheduled for blood work and an Echocardiogram for my heart. I def think i will have to see a nutritionist, but im not sure if i am required to see a psychologist? No mention of that so far. Cross my fingers.. lol.. since i dont think that is covered with my insurance.. the least out of pocket expenses, the better! Thanks for your response though. I'm glad you had a successful surgery, and i Do hear great things about Dr. Slotman. So i am confident in my choice to have him do mine..

Dr. Slotman did my surgery on Dec 20th and you really just need your medical history and based on that he decides what other Drs you need to see as an individual. But i believe everyone has to see a nutritionist, psychiatrist, do a sleep study and an upper GI serious. Anything else really depends on the individual. But Dr. Slotman is a very wonderful Dr. took real good care of me.

Yeah, i have been pretty lucky so far with medical history.. But i got used to not having anything wrong with me, that i slacked on getting check ups.. so i am nervous to see what they will uncover with these tests. I am 100 lbs heavier since the last time i had a check up, so 100 lbs, can really put strain on an already stressed body. I will be glad when all the tests are over..
