Hello to all! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Things have not been going well. I have been throwing up everything for the last three weeks and the doctor determined that I have a stricture. I went and had an upper endoscopy with balloon dilation done this week but I am still throwing up so I have to go for another one on the 15th. My surgery was almost 6 weeks ago and the one great thing is that I have lost 35 pounds. Down one size already!! It was great to see everyone in TR on Friday. Sorry that I had to leave early but I am just completely exhausted all the time. Happy New Year to you all. Take care, Kim

Kim, I too have had a stricture and I've had the balloon dilation proceedure done twice at week 7 and 9 weeks out. I know it's not fun especially the throwing up part of it, but it will get better and the weight loss just feels great!!! Best of luck & Happy New Year!

Just wanted to update everyone on Kim's stricture...it seems that she still has it and is being admitted to Muhlenberg for dehydration now. She will get hooked up to an IV and the gastroenterologist will redo the endoscopy and the balloon on Weds. Someone in TR last week told her that she had to have two procedures to clear the problem. Hopefully, the second time will be a charm.

Thanks for the update Sheri - please tell Kim she is in my thoughts. Needing two procedures to clear a stricture is not unusual. I too hope this second one will do the trick. Nannette

Sheri~ Thanks for keeping up posted on Kim's condition. I am sorry she had to be hospitalized, but as lousy as she was feeling, it's probably a relief for her to be getting some help. Please let her know that I was asking for her and that she is in my prayers. Michelle Brennan
