Liquids start Sunday....

Well, Monday is my Lap Band surgery so I start my liquids on Sunday, jello, soup, jello, soup...Monday I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 am, Im scheduled for 8:30 am, I just can't wait to get going already...I guess all this liquid will help me get used to eating it for Tuesday and Wednesday and when I have my fills...Wish me luck everyone....Sharon

Sharon, I will be in you position next Sunday as my surgery is scheduled for 1-15-07. BUt I am a little confused....you are only on liquids for two days? I am on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks post op then after my visit to the doctor and he ok's soft foods then I am on softs til week 6. Let me know what your surgeon ok's? Im on liquids the day before my surgery then 2 days after the surgery...I then have mushy foods, every Dr. is different...Good luck to you as well...

Hi! Sharon the very best to you with your surgery. I do not go until feb 12th. I'm one of the valentine bandsters. Let me ask you? Did you have to do two weeks of liquid diet before surgery? A lot of people have to do that, but my doc, doesn't. He said I could do it, but when he was in school it did not show to be that helpful. However, he is not against it. My doctor told me to do liquids only the day before surgery, which is today and then the for 2 days after surgery...Every doctor is different...Tomorrow is my big day, Are you having Lap Band, thats what Im having....Good luck to you as well....Sharon
