Update!

My hubby and I finally got everything straightened out with my paperwork for surgery. All the paper work is submitted and being signed off by the surgeon. We should have our surgery date within the next week! I am so excited! I am on day 8 of not smoking... and it feels great. I am so proud of myself. I thought it was going to be harder than it was! I still have my triggers but i manage to chew on some gum... which i have to say im getting very tired of doing....... but i get passed it.....On a different note... I look forward to meeting everyone who is going to the Toms River WLS meeting tomorrow night. I have so many questions....... Take care.... Christine

Way to go Christine, I stopped smoking 5 months ago and am scheduled for my Lap band next Monday January 8th, I just can't wait. I feel so good not smoking and being able to breath and not cough it's amazing...PLEASE for your own sake keep it up it's well worth it and wait till you see how much money you save.....I wish you the best o luck...

Hey Christine, I agree with Sharon. Wait till you see how much money you'll save........but more imprortantly your health is totally at stake. I too quit just over a month ago, Nov 28 the was my last cigarette. I am not as young as you, and I have been smoking for over 35 years. I quit cold turkey too. Gum, chocolate, and sugar free candies help. Well the chocolate should be sugar free too if possible. Life savers has sugar free spearmint circles just like the regular ones, and even jolly ranchers come sugar free too now. I bought mine in walmart. Also there is a product called Da Vinci syrups. They come regular or sugar free too. They can be used as a coffee flavor enhancer. ..but also used for other uses. I make chopped up ice in the blender or food processor, and pour some over the ice to make a snow cone...yummy. They are like over $7. a bottle online maybe $9.00.but I found them at Sam's club , same size bottle only $4. & change. Good luck ........keep it up ....you can and did stop.so tell that to your addiction! ...awesome girl!! Cissy
