I have a consultation set up with Dr. Jean-Baptiste next week. I am excited but don't want to get my hopes up. Since I am so borderline eligible for Lap-Band. I really have a feeling insurance won't cover it, but I will stay hopeful. Mary

hi mary and welcome aboard ya never know what can happen unless you try it depends on what insurance company you have -- most will do a BMI of 40 -- or -- a BMI of 35 with co-mobidities (sleep apnea, bad periods, sore joints, diabetes, blah blah blah) good luck Roberta

Hiya Mary, I have an appointment next Tuesday as well, I'm excited, nervous, excited, mortified, excited, LOL..according to his office they accept my insurance, altho my insurance say they don't, but I am a faithful person and have been praying that it will happen. Are you going to Dr. J-B as well? My appointment is at 1:15 how about yours? Today I spoke to my mom about it and she was surprisingly supportive. I think she understands the ups and downs as she is morbidly obese. She said she wishes she had the guts to do it also.

Hi Mary, I will be there on Tuesday at 8:30am, Godwilling, I'm very excited, and almost afraid that I may be too 'skinny' for it...AS IF!! Even tho I accuse my scale of lying...this is one point that id doesn't, LOL!! Woo hoo!
