North Bergen County

Is anyone from north Bergen County? Are you in a support group? Where and when? Thanks, Peg

I am from Fair Lawn. I went to the support group through Valley Hospital, but only once. There is also one through Hackensack. I wish there were some for the after school hours so I didn;t have to hire a babysitter.

I know there is one on Thursday nights once a month in Paramus. I think at the Kraft Center. I'm trying to find out about it. Thanks, Peg

That is the one I went to! The PA from Dr. Davis's group does it. His name is Gio. Very funny man and he has a lot of guest speakers. I have a problem going in the evenings since I work (teach) all day and don't get my kiddos until 5ish each day. I would have to get a sitter to be able to go. Call the kraft Center, that is how I got there originally. I had my Lap Band surgery done through Schmidt's office in Hackensack, but you can go to any support group.

I go to the one at Hackensack Hospital. It meets every first Thrusday of the month at 6:30 pm. I really enjoy it. I am 13 months post op and I try to make every meeting. Meetings are the key! Doreen

My surgeons office holds on on the second saturday of each month. He is not there but his dietician is there every session and the women and men who come are great. It is located in Ramsey NJ. I didnt know about the one in Hackensack. I am going to have to look into it, I am in North Bergen (Hudson County) But close enough.
