Maple Shade, NJ Area Support Meetings?

Hi guys, I'm a Philadelphian and attend the Barix Meetings in Langhorne twice a month, but it seems like such a big gap from one month to the next. Would like to come to a Jersey Meeting that's within 25 miles of me. Anyone know of any Pre or Post Op Support Groups that meet in the Maple Shade Area? I'd appreciate it.

hi nanette there are 2 meetings right in philly that are free Penn Hospital at 8th & Spruce -- 215-829-6795 -- 7pm - 9pm -- Zubrow Auditorium -- Last Tuesday of every month Hahnemann Hospital 230 N. The New Beginnings program has meetings in Voorhees 2x per month. One is geared more toward GB and the other LapBand, but you're welcome to join either one. This is a new format for 2007. I'm pretty sure you can attend even if you're not a part of NB. Here are some upcoming dates... 1/11, 1/25, 2/8, 2/22, 3/8, 3/22...there are more throughout '07 as well. hi dawn congrats on your approval is there a fee for attending these meetings??? i do know that the New Beginings fees are about $2,000 aren't they??? Roberta

Thanks Roberta! The NB program itself was about $1700 for me (it's more if you join the gym there, but I already belong to one so I didn't go that route)...it includes a bunch of stuff. I don't think you need to belong to NB to go to the meetings though. I seem to recall my case manager/nurse telling me that and I know just a couple weeks ago there was someone there from Idaho so I'm pretty sure that's the case. I have a call into her about something else so will be sure to ask when she calls me back. Happy New Year! Dawn
