Anyone around the Ocean, Monmouth area in New Jersey?
Oh Christine, there's a ton of us. (No pun intended)
Just bring yourselves to the OCWLS meeting in Toms River next Friday, and you'll meet a whole gaggle of RNYers.
And, as I'm sure Nannette will tell you... yes, pre-ops are more than welcome to attend.
Hope to see the both of you there.
Be Well,
A.J.
Hiya (again) Christine
The group in Toms River has about 30-50 people which about 20-25 attend.. sometimes more.. in a typical meeting.... and its a super place to meet people. I had my RNY surgery.. laproscopically.. two years ago in Iowa but I have used the Toms River group for the last couple of years and its been a rich resource for information and networking.
I will be there.. and cant wait to meet you guys !
Take Care

Hi Christine -- as both AJ and Tim and Donna have already informed you -- not only are there a bunch of us WLS'ers (both RNY and bandsters) in the Ocean and Monmouth area, but many of us attend the support meetings of OCWLS held twice a month -- once in Toms River (first Friday of each month) and once in Lakewood (third Monday of each month). Hope to see you and your hubby for the next Toms River meeting at Community Medical Center, Aud A on Friday, January 5th!
Nannette
Dear nannette
are their any "bandsters" at your meeting in toms river?
I know the area, and I was invited to visit your group sometime.
I now go to voorhees, nj. But thought I would go to yours sometime,
after my surgery. But if you don't have any lapbanders, they May
resent me coming.
Have a good new year!!

Hello Christine~
I am Michelle and I also live in Brick, Lake Riviera to be exact.
I had gastric bypass surgery in August up in Hackensack University Medical Center with Dr. Amit Trivedi. I had a wonderful experience.
I will be at the Toms River meeting that everyone is talking about above. Please do come out, bring your husband too, we'd love to meet you both and share our experiences!
