Well, I was watching dis-health ch. Last night on t.V. I watched tree wt. Loss patients have a total body lift, and had their ins. Co. Pay for it. So I'm wondering if anyone has gone through that. These patients had some infections, due to sagging skin. It looked like a very painfull proceedure, and a long time in the o.R. Ugh!!! So let me know if this is common??? Thanks!!! Bridget k. Hello Bridget, While I didn't have the surgery myself, I do know people who had at least a tummy tuck and their ins did pay for the procedure, however it needs to be considered reconstructive surgery and not cosmetic. Most insurance companies would also want documentation showing that the loose skin is problematic such as rashes, infections, etc. Hope this helps, Carla

Hi! Carla, yes, it does help!! I also posted on the lapband site and their is a bandster on there that says a hospital in livingston ,new jersey is doing it for free, due to the burn unit there. You should go on and read the post under my post. Very interesting. Thanks , and happy holiday to you. Bridget k.
