Hey Pat or should I say neighbor, I am from Woolwich/Swedesboro also... I had the Lap band surgery done on 9/11/06.. and I had went to CHRIAS in Delaware (only 20-25 minutes away from us).... Their website is WWW.CHRIAS.COM They have 3 surgeons (Dr Irgau (mine) Dr Peters and Dr Wynn (female) in their group. I have met all of them and all are very friendly, tentative and straight forward. .They use 2 differant hospitals for their surgeries..... Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del and St Francis in Wilmington, De (both only 25 minutes away at the most). They were totally awesome. You can go to the Delaware OH site and find that everyone had just about gone with them and they speak very highly of them.....They did all the work with getting you set up with Pre Op appts and getting insurance approval.. I am down a total of 35 pounds so far....Feel free to email me anytime with any questions at [email protected] Good luck Dave

Dave, Hi there neighbor !!! Thank you --- very much I had heard of this group and a co worker had her surgery done with them and @ Christiana No complaints??? I'm glad things are going well -- What was the worst part of the surgery??? How much time did you take off from work??? How long were you in the hospital. Have you gotten sick??? Do you have a feeling of satiety --- Are you hungry??? Do you have diabetes??? If so, how is it now??? thanks for offering to be there for my questions ... pat

Dear pat, there is a group out of 'voorhees new jersey" they work out of virtura west jersey health system. Dr. Adam goldstein is the surgeon that does lap band. They have another doctor that does gastric bypass. The group is called "regional surgical asso." they are connected with a group called "new beginnings" that is where you get all your classes, and you are assigned a nurse mgr. And also support group that meets once a week. I have not had surgery yet, so far it has been good. I've met a lot of post-op people at support group and they speak very well of the whole group. I hope this has been a help to you. "nobetterwomen"

Hi, Dr. Chau in the NJ Bariatric Group in Monmouth Junction, near Princeton on Route 1. He works with Dr. Brolin who was one of the originators. I had my band by Dr Chau and am very pleased with him and his office staff. He works out of Princeton University Hospital. If you get an appt there let me know...tell them I referred you. Good luck. Hi Pat, How is Spyder? Do you remember me? I haven't seen you guys in a while, hope all is well! My surgeons office, Dr's Greenbaum, Wasser & Ing, does lap band. Dr. Ing I believe does them, and is very good. They have monthly meetings at the Rancocas Hospital, you can check out their website at http://www.southjerseybariatrics.com/ good luck, and feel free to e-mail me personally...Happy Holidays!! Wendy
