Boy did that feel strange to say!! Hello To all my friends and extended family.. I finally came home on saturday evening.. What an experience... The hospital was fabulous the drugs were fantastic especially my favorite that I can never remember.. starts with a "D" but that was my sleepy time shot at night..Anyway.. arrive at st barn on wed approx 1045 am had the normal prep done.. surgery approx 1245pm was in there for 3 hours.. Get this Dr. Bilof even took a picture of my inside..That was pretty cool.. gross but cool. Was in my room sometime wed night not sure when. on thursday they took the cath out and let me walk.. oh how i wanted to walk and shower.. but the shower came on friday.. boy did that feel great had jello and tea, all the ice chips I could get some flovored colored yellow water for lunch and dinner, but i wasn't hungry really...have to give myself shots 1x a day to prevent blood clots, but i can handle that. Then my fiance came up and broughtme home on saturday and it felt good to be home!! Anyway, I am going to rest now as I am still tired. I am so glad to be on the losing side and can't wait to see you all in January. Thank you for all your prayers, thank you Barb for being my God Bless Charlene

Hi Charlene, I'm glad that all is going well so far. Dr. Bilof is wonderful and get ready to become a part of his WLS family as you will be seeing him on a regular basis for follow-ups. Keep us posted on your progress and welcome to the losing side. Carla

Hey Charlene, You have been on my mind. You were so excited about your surgery and I knew it was taking place the end of November. Welcome to the losing side. I am 1 month out and went to my first support group yesterday. It felt great to be around losers. LOL I will save you some steps. Get the Whey protien powder mix from Costco when it's time for protien drinks. The big bag cost about $23.00 and does not taste bad. You can mix it in milk. I mix mine in yogurt and it tastes great. Baked red snapper is UUUMMMM soooo good. I'm 20 lbs down and clothes are feeling loose. I plan to get some sale rack clothes to help me through the winter. During x-mas I plan to start getting rid of clothes that I too big and looking for new spring/summer outfits in a new size. Hope to chat again soon. Michielle
