I am home !
Hey all. I just wanted to ley you all know that I had my surgery on Monday morning. Everything went well. No real problems to speak of. Recovery to this point has been good. some pain but not all that bad at all. I had some gas issues the second day but found that was because I was drinking water with a straw ... won't make that mistake again!
I want to thank of of you that had kind words for me before surgery when I started thinking way too much into stuff. It has been a great experience to this point ... can't wait to start loosing!

So how long was it from your initial consultation, to actually getting approved, to the surgery? I'm just getting started w/this process, and would like a guys input. And how was the actual surgery, and hospital stay? How soon were you up & around? And the damed cathider....sorry, but I'm curious. BTW, glad you're doing well....

With my doctor it took about four months to get all of the hings done that he wanted and get a surgery date.
The surgery was not a real problem ... mine was done laprascopic so that cut down on some of the pain. My gall blatter was also removed because i had gallstones. That turned out to be a bit of a problen beacuse I apparently had some gall blatter attacks that I never reported (Did not know)
y dotor said I gave him a bit of a challenge but he got the job done rather well. Surgery lasted just under four hours ... should have been about three.
I had surgery around 730 AM, was in my room around 1 or so and was out of bed for a short walk by 5pm pain was not bad ... I had a morphine pump that worked well.
I was released on Wednesday afternoon and had no real problem since then.
Funny story about the cathidar ... I did not have one after surgery but on my way to the recovery room I was in alot of pain because I needed to go to the bathroom ... long story short I got one. It was not bad being removed ... I don't rember getting it. Any other question please feel free to ask! Good luck with you quest.
