Hi everyone! Well I only have 4 days until my surgery. EEECCKKK!! I am sooooo nervous. I think I ruined Thanksgiving with my parents. I had to keep going in the other room to cry. I am so stressed out. Any last minute advice would be greatly appreciated. Of course I am on clear liquids M&T. And the lovely bowel prep on Tues. My surgery is at 10am on Wed. I use the library computer so I am not sure how long it will be before I can get back here after surgery to post but I do have a wonderful angel who I will be in contact the day of surgery and she said she will post for everyone how I made out. Ok, Thanks again, Hugs Kim

Kimberly~ Don't feel bad about being stressed and worrying, we all did it.. at least those of us honest enough to tell you we did. I think I screamed at my poor children the day before surgery, worrying about leaving the house clean before we left for our little 3 day trip to the hospital. It's nerves and you are human, I did the same thing.... it is nerve wracking. The preparation is worse than the healing afterwards if you ask me. I was much more emotional BEFORE the surgery than after. You are allowed to be! The morning of my surgery, after the finished prepping me and I was waiting to walk back to the operating room, I cried like a baby to my husband.... I apologized for letting it get to this point, I am sorry I had to make him go through this.... yadda, yadda, yadda... he just let me get it all out and assured me he was fine with everything. Now he has a new wife! And boy is he pleased! If you feel like you have to cry, do it. You need to get it out. FEEL your feelings, we are so used to stuffing our feelings with food, and when that's not an option anymore, you need to feel everything, get used to it, this is good practice. Everything will be fine. You are well prepared, you have been to enough groups with all of us to see that everything will be fine, just keep that in the back of your mind, behind the tear drops, you will be fine, but are just scared.. you are human, allow yourself to be scared and sad. It will all be over in just a few more days. I can't wait to hear all about the big day at the next meeting! I will be praying for you. Michelle Brennan

Kim! You will be fine, I am sure of it....remember, you have a great doctor and a fabulous surgical team behind you. I know it's scary but I told you exactly what is going to happen. Weigh yourself tomorrow (sunday) before starting the liquids. By Weds morning when you weigh yourself again and see the weight already coming off you will be so happy! It is normal to fear the unknown. when you get to the hospital you will be treated like a queen! And in a week or so when you are feeling good after surgery, you will feel silly for being so scared and nervous! I am 16 days post op and feel so fabulous!!!! You will be amazed at what this surgery is going to do for you and how great you will feel afterwards...I was pleasantly surprised. Just listen to Dr. JB, Kathy, Dr. Dan and all of the nurses. Follow Judy's diet to the T, and call me if you need anything! I will post on the NJ boards on Weds and let everyone know how great you did! We're rooting for you! Hugs, Sheri.
