SUPPORT GROUPS PLEASE HELP

Does anybody know of any support groups in the union county area.Any day but wensday.I had my gastric bypass 11/6/06. Thanks for any help anybody could give harris s.

Hi: This is not right in Union County, but my support group is next door to Muelenberg Hosp in S. Plainfield. It is held the third thurs of the month from 5:30 til 7:00. Great group. Robin

Hi Harris! The support group Robin is referring to is in Union County, in Plainfield. It is the Bariatric Center of Muhlenberg. It's open to anyone and run by Dr. Jean-Baptiste and his staff. The next meeting is on 12/21 at 5:30. It's in a building on Randolph Road adjacent to Muhlenberg Hospital. If you are on Park Aveue coming from Plainfield heading to S. Plainfield, you would pass Randolph Rd. and turn left into the parking lot. The bariatric center entrance is on the far right facing the building. I wish there were other support groups not doctor affiliated in Union County but there doesn't seem to be. If anyone reading this is from Union County and would like to participate in a support group, write back to me. Thanks!

Hi, My name is Maryellen. I came across your message about support groups in Union County. I had my weight loss surgery 2 years ago. I live in Scotch Plains. I am very interested in a support group. I used to go to one the first year, but lost track of it. Can anyone attend this group in Plainfield? I had my surgery by Dr.Ward at Somerset Med. Center, as I said, 2 years ago. I used to attend a support group that met on Tuesdays in Bound Brook. Tuesdays are just not good for me, so I can't go there. Please let me know about this group in Plainfield. Harris: I know it's not in Union county, but you know Dr. Bilof & Dr. Nusbaum have support groups that meet at the St. Barnabas Ambulatory Care Center, right? Just didn't want folks to think that these two fabulous doctors don't provide excellent aftercare. P~ www.weightlossnj.com

Hi Harris, I had my surgery lap-band on the same day as you and by the same Dr. As a matter of fact I think we were in the same room for recovery. You were on the right as you entered the room and I was straight ahead to the left. As I got up to go to the bathroom I remember glancing over and seeing you. You were in the middle bay and you were sleeping. LOL Let me know if I am correct. I got to go home the same day. Maybe if you can clear you calendar one Wednesday, I will see you at St. Bar. support group. Michielle
